Ramsar sites

DATASET

Protected areas of Norway with status as Ramsar sites. All Norwegian Ramsar sites are protected by national legislation as well - Nature Diversity Act (see "Protected areas"). However, sometimes the Ramsar status is valid only for some spesific section of the Protected area. A Ramsar site may also be an aggregation of several distinct Protected areas. The Ramsar dataset is the unequivocal representation of each Ramsar site in Norway and at Svalbard.
